Online shoppers evaluate a small image before they can hold the pack. Packaging that works on shelf therefore needs a separate digital-shelf test.

Thumbnail test

Reduce the image to an actual marketplace-card size. Brand, product type, variant and pack count should remain clear. Simplify hierarchy rather than enlarging every detail.

Separate main and information images

The main image should represent the product accurately within platform rules. Distribute benefits, use, dimensions and comparisons across subsequent listing cards.

Prevent variant errors

Make color and naming differences clear in the product card. Do not distinguish similar SKUs through tiny copy alone, and keep image order consistent.

Use 3D truthfully

Pre-production 3D assets can speed launch, but color, material, fill level and contents must reflect the real product.

Test on mobile

Review search, product page, cart and advertising placements on several phones. Click and conversion data are more useful than assumptions.
